TALLAHASSEE – Florida A&M University (FAMU) presents the 2024 Worldwide Mental Health Expo on Thursday, Nov. 7 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Efferson Student Union.
The expo is hosted by SheSpeaksSolutions, Inc., in collaboration with the FAMU Department of Military and Veteran Affairs, Student Health Services, Office of Counseling Services, CeDAR, FAMU-FSU College of Engineering, FAMU Department of Social Work, College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, FAMU SGA, FAMU Royal Court and a host of other campus and community partners.
“This event promises to be a day filled with inspiration, support, and community bonding,” said Louis L. Dilbert, Ph.D., director of FAMU Military and Veteran Affairs. “We invite the public to come out and see the resources, services, and commitment to mental health and wellness in our local community. This event also provides an incredible platform for networking and collaboration among mental health advocates, professionals, and service providers.
The festivities will kick-off with a free Suicide Prevention Gatekeeper Certification training followed by workshops on Harm Reduction Strategies (11 a.m. -12 p.m.) and Conversations on Cannabis (1 p.m. -2 p.m.). Community vendors will be on site to provide information regarding access to health and wellness resources.

This event is free and open to the public, however, space is limited for the workshops and activities.
