Filmmaker Reflections:

The documentaries offer unique perspectives on cultural and social themes.

Asia Moore, co-producer of “Amen, Amen, Amen,” reflected, “I wanted to explore the Black Baptist Church’s cultural impact on our community, beyond just religious meaning.”

Boyz to Men explores the challenges of growing up without a father figure. “I wanted to show the challenges young men face without father figures,” said Deceni Suazo, co-producer.

In Two Hills, One City: FAMU & FSU, Anissa Carby examines the complex history of FAMU and FSU. “I hope my film inspires the audience to build a better future without dwelling on the past,” Carby shared.
