Florida A&M University (FAMU) announces Jeffrey Pierce II as the director of undergraduate admissions. With over a decade of experience in higher education, Pierce II will lead the University’s efforts to attract, recruit, and enroll talented scholars while enhancing the university’s commitment to academic excellence.
Pierce II has built a distinguished career in helping students navigate the college admissions process. Most recently, he served as the director of KIPP Forward at KIPP Jacksonville Schools, where he led the College and Career Advising Program, creating pathways for students to pursue postsecondary opportunities across various industries.

Prior to serving as director of KIPP Forward, Pierce II held undergraduate admissions directorships at Tuskegee University (Tuskegee, Alabama) and Huston-Tillotson University (Austin, Texas). Additionally, Pierce has held positions in graduate admissions at Albany State University (Albany, Georgia) and undergraduate admissions at Paine College (Augusta, Georgia).
Pierce II is deeply committed to the mission of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU), currently serving on the Board of Paine College’s National Alumni Association and RDEVIA, where he provides guidance and knowledge on best practices for connecting HBCU prospects, students, and graduates to opportunities and resources. His dedication to student success has earned him numerous accolades, including recognition as a Paine College 40 Under 40 Honoree and several awards for outstanding service in enrollment management.

With extensive experience in implementing customer relationship management (CRM) systems, Pierce has led multiple institutions in optimizing their enrollment processes. He plans to leverage this expertise at FAMU to enhance recruitment strategies and improve the student experience.
Pierce II was raised in the modest towns of Florence and Darlington, South Carolina. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Paine College and a master’s degree in higher education from Walden University. He is married and has two children.
