Florida A&M University Welcomes Rafael Vazquez to the Board of Trustees

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Florida A&M University welcomes Rafael Vazquez to the Board of Trustees, effective May 15. Selected by the Florida Board of Governors, the appointment is subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.

“We extend a warm welcome to Rafael Vazquez to the FAMU Board of Trustees,” said FAMU Interim President Timothy L. Beard, Ph.D. “He brings a wealth of business acumen to Florida A&M University, and I look forward to working with him during this season of growth and opportunity.”

Vazquez is the owner and operator of J.V. & Sons, Inc. He also recently served as a member of the FAMU presidential search committee.
