Florida A&M University Launches 2025 Student Recruitment Tour: Destination FAMU!
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Florida A&M University (FAMU) is proud to announce its 2025 Student Recruitment Tour, “Destination FAMU!,” bringing the Rattler spirit to cities across Florida and beyond. This dynamic initiative invites prospective students and families to discover why FAMU offers the best of both worlds—an enriching, affordable academic experience in a culturally vibrant atmosphere that is truly unmatched.
“We are excited to bring a taste of the FAMU experience to cities where we’ve historically recruited many of our best and brightest students,” Vice President of Student Affairs William Hudson Jr., Ph.D. “We want South Florida’s top students to join us on the Highest of Seven Hills in Tallahassee, Florida. In the meantime, Destination FAMU, will bring the innovation and excellence of the Hill to our future Rattlers.”
This year’s tour has been reimagined to align with FAMU’s commitment to student success, retention, progression, and graduation strategies. By leveraging data to identify key variables that impact student outcomes, the University is enhancing its targeted recruitment efforts, especially for students whose academic profiles align with programs of strategic emphasis.
“In response to federal financial aid amendments and the rising cost of higher education, FAMU is strategically reallocating resources to expand financial support for students. Academic Affairs and Student Affairs are actively developing an amended recruitment strategy for the 2025–2026 academic year, while also re-engineering the beloved FAMU Connection for a bold relaunch in the 2026–2027 cycle,” said Hudson
Beginning August 28, the recruitment tour will include stops Ft. Lauderdale, Jacksonville, Atlanta, Tampa and Orlando. It will culminate with FAMU Fall Preview in Tallahassee on Sept. 27.
