Gulf Coast State College’s TRiO Upward Bound Hosts ‘The Rattler Experience: Brunch and Learn with FAMU’

PANAMA CITY, Fla – Gulf Coast State College Upward Bound TRiO Programs is proud to host The Rattler Experience: Brunch & Learn with FAMU on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM (CST) at Student Union East, Room 232, located at 5230 W Highway 98, Panama City, FL.

This event is designed to help students gain valuable insight into career opportunities, degree pathways, and transfer options available after completing two years at Gulf Coast State College. Attendees will explore how to align their academic journey with future goals and experience the Rattler spirit firsthand through interactive discussions and networking.

Free and open to high school students and college transfer students across the Florida Panhandle, the Brunch & Learn features a complimentary meal and guidance on transfer pathways, admissions requirements, and academic programs at Florida A&M University (FAMU). A highlight of the event is the Student Panel, where current FAMU students will share their personal journeys, discuss why they chose their degree paths, and offer insight into what it takes to reach the finish line.

Adding a special touch is Kendall Johnson, a proud Panama City native and FAMU alumna, who is passionate about giving back to her hometown. She has curated this exciting experience to help local students envision new possibilities, explore careers, and build confidence in their path toward a four-year degree.

“This event is designed to help students explore career pathways, understand the transfer process, and see themselves thriving at a four-year university,” said Danielle Pierce, assistant director of TRiO Upward Bound.

RSVP is required. Students can secure their spot by scanning the QR code on the flyer or clicking the RSVP link provided. For more information, please contact Danielle Pierce at dpierce@gulfcoast.edu
