TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Florida A&M University (FAMU) has announced time adjustments to the schedule for its upcoming Spring Commencement ceremonies on May 1-2, 2026, following a comprehensive review by the University Commencement Committee.
The 30-member committee, comprised of representatives from divisions across the University, convened to evaluate ceremony timing and recommend improvements to enhance the overall commencement experience. The review focused on increasing efficiency, strengthening operational flow, and ensuring a positive and seamless experience for graduates, their families, and the broader university community.
Based on the committee’s recommendations, the Spring 2026 Commencement schedule will be as follows:
Each ceremony will be held in the Alfred Lawson Multipurpose Center and Teaching Gymnasium. University officials noted that the revised schedule is designed to improve time management, support campus operations, and maintain the celebratory spirit that defines FAMU’s commencement tradition.
Additional details regarding ceremony logistics and participant instructions will be shared with graduates and guests in the coming weeks.
The last day to apply for graduation online is Friday, April 3. Students who do not submit their applications by the deadline will not appear in the program.
