FAMU Announces Star-Studded 2026 Homecoming Concert Lineup Featuring Gunna, Summer Walker, T.I. and Bellygang Kushington

Concert set for Thursday, Oct. 22, as part of “There’s No Place Like the Hill” Homecoming celebration

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Florida A&M University (FAMU) is bringing a powerhouse lineup to the Hill for its 2026 Homecoming Concert, featuring hip-hop superstar Gunna, acclaimed R&B artist Summer Walker, legendary rapper and actor T.I., and rising Atlanta artist Bellygang Kushington.

The highly anticipated concert will take place Thursday, Oct. 22, at the Al Lawson Jr. Multipurpose Center. Doors open at 5 p.m. Tickets are on sale now through Ticketmaster students can access tickets here. All non-students can purchase tickets by clicking here

This year’s Homecoming theme, “There’s No Place Like the Hill,” is inspired by the beloved musical film “The Wiz,” starring Diana Ross and Michael Jackson. The theme celebrates the unmistakable spirit of FAMU and the enduring connection that calls Rattlers from across the country back home to the Hill.

“The students asked for a concert that would feel worthy of the FAMU Homecoming experience, and we listened,” said Caitlin Smith, FAMU Student Government Association vice president and chair of the Student Homecoming Steering Committee. “The moment the lineup was revealed at Bragg, the reaction said it all. We are ready to welcome Rattlers home for a memorable week because there truly is no place like the Hill.”

Known for global hits and a melodic style that has helped shape contemporary hip-hop, Gunna will bring his signature sound to the Lawson Center stage. Summer Walker, one of modern R&B’s most influential voices, will deliver the soulful and deeply personal music that has earned her a devoted international following. Atlanta rap icon T.I. will add more than two decades of hits and Southern hip-hop influence to the celebration, while Atlanta's own Bellygang Kushington will bring the raw energy and momentum that have made him one of the region’s rising artists.

“This lineup brings together some of the most dynamic voices in hip-hop and R&B for a concert designed to match the energy, culture and legacy of FAMU Homecoming,” said Christian Aristilde, chief business development & partnerships officer/Winners Circle. “From rising talent to established icons and chart-toppers, this all-Atlanta lineup reflects their undeniable influence on music and culture. We wanted to create an experience with something for every generation of Rattlers, and this is guaranteed to be a night to remember.”

FAMU Homecoming 2026 will be celebrated Oct. 18-25 with a full week of signature events, student activities, reunions, entertainment and opportunities for alumni and friends to reconnect with the University.

“FAMU Homecoming is more than a week of events. It is a homecoming in every sense of the word. It is a celebration of our legacy, our culture, our excellence and the lifelong connection that binds generations of Rattlers,” said Brandi Tatum-Fedrick, Ed.D., senior vice president for Advancement and Enterprise Partnerships & Innovation and chair of the Homecoming Steering Committee. “There is something special about returning to the Hill; the place where so many of our dreams were nurtured, lifelong relationships were formed and our love for FAMU took root. No matter where life takes us, the Hill remains home. Homecoming is our opportunity to honor those who came before us, celebrate the Rattlers of today and inspire the generations who will follow.”

The celebration will culminate Saturday, Oct. 24, when the Florida A&M Rattlers take on the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff at 3 p.m. at Ken Riley Field at Bragg Memorial Stadium.

Additional information about Homecoming events and activities will be announced as it becomes available.
