
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Florida A&M University (FAMU) proudly announces the investiture of the 13th president, Marva B. Johnson, J.D., a distinguished leader whose vision signals a transformative era for the institution. The investiture ceremony and accompanying events will take place April 20–21, marking a historic occasion that celebrates leadership, legacy, and the University’s continued ascent.
Held under the theme “FAMU Forward, Advancing Excellence,” the celebration will convene students, alumni, faculty, staff, community leaders, and national stakeholders to formally install President Johnson and affirm a collective commitment to student success, academic excellence, and institutional progress. The investiture represents both a ceremonial milestone and a strategic inflection point, underscoring Florida A&M University’s enduring mission and its future trajectory as a premier public research institution.
