TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Florida A&M University will appear in the 17th season of The College Tour, an inspiring television show helping students connect with their favorite universities to make an informed decision about their future education plans without the constraints and limitations of travel. Season 17 will premiere on Amazon Prime Video in December.

The groundbreaking series by Emmy-nominated producers Alex Boylan, Lisa Hennessy, and Burton Roberts came to the Highest of Seven Hills in April for one dynamic week of filming hosted by Desi Williams, DPT, CBS’s The Challenge: USA winner. FAMU will use the episode to complement its student recruitment efforts and popular Destination FAMU Tour throughout Florida.

“Participating in The College Tour gives potential Rattlers an unfiltered, front-row seat into what makes Florida A&M University extraordinary-- and there’s no better guide than our best advocates: Our students,” said President Marva B. Johnson, J.D. “Their why might be our rigorous academic programs. It might be the family they find way from home. It might be a seamless transfer from a state college or the convenience of attending a graduate program that will launch their next chapter. Whatever brings them to FAMU, we equip them with the skills, the confidence, and the mindset to turn ambition into achievement--- because that is what it means to be a Rattler.”

The episode features a cast of 10 current students and recent graduates who provide personal testimonials about their college experience and why they chose Florida A&M University. Additionally, the episode delves into important topics such as career readiness, study abroad, research, transfer experience, Army ROTC, on-campus living, campus activities, and the First-Gen experience. The cast participants include:

Ryan Campbell – College of Law from Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.

Marcklen Cirius – FAMU-FSU College of Engineering from Boca Raton, Fla.

A’Deja Farlow – Army ROTC and School of Nursing from Seaford, Del.

Dillon Ford – College of Agriculture and Food Sciences from Miami, Fla.

Sanai McKinney – College of Science and Technology from Memphis, Tenn.

Falonne Michel – School of Business and Industry from Orlando, Fla.

Jamel Nedderman – School of Journalism and Graphic Communication from Bronx, NY

Maggie Womble – College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences from Whigham, Ga.

“FAMU has an unmistakable sense of history, pride, and culture - coupled with an incredibly talented community of students who have something important in common: each cast member has a FAMU story worth telling," said Williams. "They stepped in front of our cameras to show the world what it means to be a Rattler—and how FAMU is preparing the leaders of tomorrow through outstanding academics, strong student support, scholarship opportunities and more than 100 fields of study."

Prior to the Amazon Prime launch, FAMU will host The College Tour Red Carpet Premiere on Friday, Sept. 11, 2026, at 6 p.m. in Lee Hall Auditorium. The screening and cast Q&A event is free and open to the public.
